Music & Radio Projects
I studied classical guitar and voice while earning my degree in Music Education in my hometown of Omaha, NE. During this time, I landed an internship with Omaha's premiere classical radio station, KVNO, and that is when I fell in love with radio, producing, promoting musicians and using my music skills in brand new ways. Below are samples of my work as a host, producer and musician.
In conversation with Music Director Laureate of the Omaha Symphony Orchestra & Principal Conductor of the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, Thomas Wilkins.
My interview with Omaha Symphony Music Director Thomas Wilkins just me away when sharing his memories and depictions of Gustav Mahler and Mahler's 9th Symphony.
Interview with Music Director of the Louisville Orchestra, Teddy Abrams.
During my time as the afternoon host and music director of Classical 90.7 KVNO, Teddy Abrams was one of the most memorable and educational guest I had the opportunity to speak with and promote.
Classical Radio Fundraising Campaign
My aim here was to think outside the box (like composers do!) I wrote, recorded, and produced this promo for the morning show host of KVNO to feature during pledge drives to inspire listeners to donate. It's inviting the listener in to that stream of consciousness or creative thought we all get when listening to an amazing piece of music!
